Athens walking tour(min 5 hours up to 8 hours) Pre-book necessary

Dear travelers, in order to see the Archaeological, historical or modern sites in Athens a walking tour is necessary.  Our Walking tour in Athens starts from Dionysus Areopagitou, a beautiful pedestrian road located at the bottom of Acropolis hill and next to Acropolis Metro Subway and  Museum of Acropolis, which we will visit first. A brand new museum opened in 2009 to host all the findings that have been excavated on the hill of Acropolis and its slopes also known as the museum of the senses. It is counted as one of the best museums in the world. Next we climb the Acropolis hill from Dionysos Theater the oldest one in Greece and continue to see the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, The Temple of the Athena Nike, the monumental gateway (Propylaea), the Erechtheum and of course the famous Parthenon, the main temple dedicated to the virgin goddess Athena.

Athens walking tour, after the Acropolis will head to Ancient Greek Agora which is considered the birthplace of democracy, philosophy and free speech. In the ancient Greek Agora you will visit the Temple of Hephaestus (the best preserved temple in Greece standing largely as built) and the famous museum house under the Portigo of Attalos

Gyros - Pita Souvlaki

You may feel hungry by now so next stop is going to be at a traditional Greek fast food with authentic Greek Gyros in the neighborhood of Monastiraki. Because after all is part of our tour experience. We see and taste traditional Greek fast food without waste time, as we take our soubvlaki wrapped...

Plaka and Monastiraki are the old areas of Athens full of narrow streets, old houses, cafes restaurants and shops.  After our quick snack we will walk through the flea market (shopping area) to Monastiraki square. There we will visit the Roman Agora, the famous Hadrian Library and the Tower Of the Winds, where was operating an hydraulic clock mechanism.

Ermou Street (Odos Ermou, "Hermes Street"), is a one and a half kilometer-long road in central Athens, Greece, connecting Kerameikos archaeological site with the Syntagma Square through Monastiraki, Psiri and Thiseio.

With fashion shops and shopping centers promoting most international brands, it is in the top five most expensive shopping streets in Europe, and the tenth most expensive retail street in the world. Nearby, the renovated Army Fund building in Panepistimiou Street includes the "Attica" department store and several upmarket designer stores.

The Byzantine Church of Panaghia Kapnikarea. One of the oldest churches in Athens, the Byzantine Church of Panaghia Kapnikarea is in a small square, on the east section of Ermou Street.

We will walk through Hermou pedestrian street with elegant shops and big name brads and finish our walking tour at Syndagma square in front Parliament and take our last memories photos in front Unknown Soldier Memorial guarding by our famous EVZONES... Looking forward to meeting you
